This position is being recruited directly by Lamons. We are not accepting agency referrals at this time. Job Summary The Cyber Security Analyst I will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring security measures to protect the company’s data, systems, and networks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities - Identify, investigate, and respond to cyber threats, incidents, and anomalies.
- Lead technical projects and initiatives that require security architecture and design.
- Configure, manage, and monitor all Cybersecurity Platforms.
- Performs threat simulations and penetration tests to identify and detect possible risks.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application configuration issues.
- Develops standards and procedures for security technologies.
- Facilitates training, manages 3rd party training modules, and outwardly projects the willingness to teach others.
- Optimizes security effectiveness and awareness and provides a monthly report to management.
- Creates preventative controls, integrates third-party software platforms, incident detection and response, system hardening, and application security requirements.
- Keeps up to date with industry trends as well as changes to internal systems and determines how they impact tools, training, and support necessary to keep systems secure.
- Researches and analyzes business trends and behavioral data to identify opportunities for improvements and new initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications Skills - Technical knowledge and comprehension of Microsoft operating systems.
- Knowledge to navigate and manage Microsoft O365 tenant security.
- Competent with Wireshark, PowerShell, Aircrack-ng, Nmap, and other various penetration testing tools available within Kali.
- Proficiency with Visio for drawing network diagrams and illustrating deployed cybersecurity protocols, systems, and technologies.
- Able to navigate the Meraki Cloud Portal for the purpose of managing company network security.
- General familiarization with all Cybersecurity concepts and associated methodologies of management.
- Helpdesk system utilization and system management.
- Ability to work independently or in small teams.
- Able to provide positive customer service experience.
Education - Required: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or 3rd Party Cybersecurity Training Certificate with verifiable Cybersecurity experience.
Work Experience - Required: Previous internship, apprenticeship, or projects related to understanding cybersecurity needs and potential risks.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities on servers and/or end-user computing devices.
Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop and climb.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Must have mental capacity to solve complex problems with a highly developed sense of urgency.
- Must be able to articulate and communicate clearly on a wide range of issues.
